About William

 

    William has spent over 15 years building a resume in technical theatre, with a focus on Lighting Design. As a freelance designer his work has been seen Off-Broadway at the New York Theatre Workshops 4th Street Theatre (The Belgrade Trilogy 2012, 2013) and at Theatre For The New City (Wifey 2019). Other NYC credits include: Songs For A New World and Psycho Beach Party. Regionally William has garnered much acclaim for his designs of Les Miserables, Mary Poppins, Annie Get Your Gun, Shrek The Musical, The 39 Steps and Once on This Island at one of the countries most respected professional theatres (Weathervane Theatre, NH). 

     William was a finalist for the 2014 New Hampshire Theatre Award for Best Professional Lighting Design for his design of the Weathervane Theatres production of Memphis.

     In 2015 Florida Today named Williams design of the Titusville Playhouses production of The Full Monty the Best of 2015.

     William spent the summer of 2018 designing the Surflight Theaters (Beach Haven, NJ) summer season, which included the titles: Nice Work If You Can Get It, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Wedding Singer, Saturday Night Fever, Bright Star, The 39 Steps and Souvenir. 

     Other regional design credits include: Next To Normal, Annie, Sing a Song of Sondheim, Cotton Club, Funny Money, Circle Mirror Transformation, God of Carnage, Pirates of Penzance, Rock and Roll Broadway, The Tempest, Once Upon A Matress and A Little Princess.

    After serving as the Lighting Supervisor at the Bucks County Playhouse, where he worked with some of Broadways best designers, William returned to Florida to take over the Lighting Department at the states largest professional producing theatre, Riverside Theatre, in Vero Beach. 

    A native of Pittsburgh, PA William moved around frequently as a child. It was at an early age he discovered just how important and powerful an influence the arts can have on a persons life. Theatre provided a stable home for William as a child. That's where his passion for the arts was first developed. Theatre opened his eyes to how great it can feel to create something moving and beautiful. It is with this passion that William hopes to move audiences and provide a home to aspiring artist with his theatrical endeavors.
